Every so often a customer will come into my bar and tell me about a drink I do not already know. I have never claimed nor will I

claim to know them all. The reason I tell you this is if anything as to not take the credit for this particular cocktail. They where a married couple who where both former Air Force Officers. They were a lot of fun and they had a lot of great stories from their adventures in booze-ology. Including telling me quite a bit about the Makers Mark distillery. Even better they left me a generous tip, and gave me a cocktail called
Blood and Sand for that I will dedicate this post to them (they know who they are... I hope.)
