Thoughts, stories, ideas, recipes, cheers, and more... What else did you think you would get for a $1 tip?

For those of you looking for something on the more sophisticated side you have my apologies. This blog unfortunately mirrors the author (yours truly.) Some of the humor is not for everyone but I liked it and it's my blog so there! My patrons sometimes ask me where I come up with some of this stuff. I am glad to tell them my mind is a lot like Canada. It is sometimes a bit cold, there are a few dark corners, some of it down right confusing and even a bit dirty but there is also a lot of neat stuff up there. So I hope you all enjoy this blog! ... Cheers!

Pumpkin Time!

Leaves changing colors, crisp autumn air, county fairs, yeah, yeah yeah... Let's not forget the best part of the fall season, Pumpkin spice latte at every coffee shop! Yes this coffee will more than likely have to show your local barista a copy of your credit report and you may have to take out a small business loan to afford this caffeinated experience but it is well worth it! So I made a Pumpkin Vanilla Vodka for starters and then tossed together a few good fall ideas that will help you usher in changing season. Take some time to kick back and sip these treats, this stuff is great in a martini on the rocks, over vanilla ice cream or hell over a bumper!

Pumpkin Vanilla Spice Vodka Infusion
2 Vanilla beans (Opened and scraped into the mix)
10 thin 4 inch long shavings of Pumpkin
1/2 Can Pumpkin Pie filling
1/2 of a whole nutmeg
1 Litter bottle of Vodka
1 Tablespoon Pumpkin Pie Spice
Place all ingredients into an infusion jar
Let this sit for about 1 week in a refrigerator.

Pumpkin Spice Latte Martini
2 oz. - Pumpkin Vanilla Spice Vodka
1 oz. - Espresso Vodka
1 oz. - Half and Half
Shake to a froth and strain.
Garnish with a sprinkle of Nutmeg

Pumpkin Pie Martini

1oz. - Pumpkin Vanilla Spice Vodka
1 oz. Vanilla Vodka
½ oz. - Bailey's Irish Cream
Splash butterscotch Schnapps
Shake over ice and strain
Rim the glass with crushed graham crackers
Garnish with a cinnamon stick

Cheers!
(These 2 pictures have nothing to do with anything, not that they have to. It's my blog not yours! I just thought they were funny!)
