For those of you looking for something on the more sophisticated side you have my apologies. This blog unfortunately mirrors the author (yours truly.) Some of the humor is not for everyone but I liked it and it's my blog so there! My patrons sometimes ask me where I come up with some of this stuff. I am glad to tell them my mind is a lot like Canada. It is sometimes a bit cold, there are a few dark corners, some of it down right confusing and even a bit dirty but there is also a lot of neat stuff up there. So I hope you all enjoy this blog! ... Coffee with a Twist

Many of my concoctions are born out of the sweet tooth I am the proud owner of. But my sweet treats are not for everyone. Every so often I am asked if I have anything a bit less sweet. Her name is Joanna and she had a few thoughts on what to have but none of them inspiring enough for her special weekend away. We had a small debate as well as to what makes a Espresso Martini. There is no cream in espresso (no Bailey's!) I asked her to trust me on this one and here is a simple Espresso Martini and a little twist on this classic as well. Cheers Joanna!

Espresso Martini

2 oz. - Vanilla Vodka

1 oz. - Coffee liqueur

1 oz. - Chilled espresso

Shake like crazy and strain into a martini glass

Orange Coffee Martini

2 oz. - Cafe Patron XO

1 oz. - Cointreau

2 oz. - Coffee

Shake over ice and strain
